About the Breeder

From the Heart Kennels was established in 1982 when I bred my first harlequin litter of puppies. As the old story goes, you live and learn and that is just what I did. I kept trying to create magnificent Harles like I saw in the magazines…So after several years of trying, I flew to Long Island, NY, where I met my mentor and friend, Laura Kiaulenas and the infamous BMW Harlequins. That was the turning point in my breeding program. Laura's dogs weren't simply posed to LOOK magnificent; they were BUILT that way with selective breeding. I returned from that trip with a litter in the oven from Ch. BMW Graffiti and my prized possession, Sara, Ch. BMW I'll Take Manhattan.

I take great pride in the dogs that From the Heart Kennels has produced. Not only are they beautiful examples of a wonderful breed, but they are magnificent companions as well. We do not breed frequently, but when we do breed, we put everything we can into it, and it is a very special litter.

I currently reside in Belton MO, with my wonderful husband, Vince. (You can see a picture of him below, in the ring!) we live with a Champion Bedlington Terrier, Ch. Touchwoods Just One Look, "Tucker", who "rules all dogdom!", our Harlequin Champion Chanoz On Eagle's Wings (Isaiah) bred by Lori Beilke of Chanoz Great Danes and our Fawn Great Dane, Ch. Diamond Danes Victory Dance, (Dancer).
