From the Heart

From The Heart Kennel was established in 1982 after I had my first litter of Harlequin babies.  As the years have passed, I have turned from breeding to handling.  It is a passion of mine and I love to get my hands on the babies and adults to bring out the best of those dogs.

I started handling in Junior Showmanship at 11 when my friend's Mother, Mrs. Hart,  took me under her wing and had me help her with Siberian Huskies.  I have garnered a great deal of experience through the 40+ years of owner handling and professional handling.

I have had the opportunity to handle some of the most beautiful dogs in the country.  I am blessed to have met many wonderful people who are now lifelong friends through handling their dogs.

This website is basically a showcase of all the dogs that I am currently handling as well as many of the past dogs, both in the classes through Best In Show.

I'd love to feature your dog on my website too.  Please contact me for information and availability.

If I can be of any help to you, from handling, to breed consultations to pedigree research for Danes and English Mastiffs, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.  I also will help you find the right dog for your family as well.

Ch. Wyne's Talkin' Hot Hot Hot aka BARBIE

Barbie Major Kansas City.jpg

Barbie finished with 3 majors.  and then she grew up...we rush them so soon.  She is so beautiful.

Barbie came into my life after I lost one of my dearest dogs, Buck.  I promised I wouldn't get another Dane.....and then along came Barbie and she bit me on the chin while visiting Sue and Josh Wyne.  I was supposed to be picking up babies for Tracy and Glenda, but I couldn't leave without her.  She is my baby girl that is a total show off and IN CHARGE.  We had planned to breed her, but she pyo'd and I wanted her more than more babies. Thanks Dr. Kelly Hoyt for saving my Barbie.

Ch. Oakwood's One More Chance, aka PIP

Pip is bred by Breeder Judge Ms. Kimberle Schiff, Oakwood German Pinschers.

Chance, aka PIP, was supposed to come to my home to be shown and return to Kimberle, however, he stole our hearts, including Vince.....What, you say....? Yes Vince.  He is the smartest dog and the most energetic dog known to man.

PIP was Winners Dog and Best of Winners handled expertly by Tammie Wilcox in 2018.

Kaleef's Semper FI - Always Faithful
